Unexpectedly, two things happened. After Timothée Chalamet “lost” at the Academy Awards — something many attributed to his recent controversial comments about opera and ballet — the trailer for Dune: Part Three by Denis Villeneuve was suddenly released online, with Chalamet and Zendaya in the leading roles.

According to the story, Paul Atreides grows older and continues his war against other peoples and civilizations, while both returning and new characters appear in the narrative.

Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem will reprise their roles, while a significant part of the story will be given to the character of Anya Taylor-Joy(Atreides’ sister). The main antagonist will be played by Robert Pattinson — a chameleon-like figure who, in Frank Herbert’s books, could change form and become other people.

The trailer looks mysterious, mesmerizing, dark, and, of course, incredibly beautiful — something Denis Villeneuve always excels at. Notably, the premiere has been moved from summer to December, likely to avoid competition with the new Avengers film and secure stronger box office dominance. Looking forward to it!
