Perhaps, aside from Ridley Scott — and maybe even surpassing him — one of the most productive directors in Hollywood today is Guy Ritchie. Especially after Aladdin and The Gentlemen, the director has been releasing films and series almost every year, which many people find quite remarkable.
The new film, whose trailer was released just a few days ago, tells the story of two mercenaries — as is often the case in Ritchie’s films: tough, sharp-tongued, and incredibly stylish. The two main characters are played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill, with Eiza González joining them.
The plot details are still largely unknown, although the trailer clearly shows the protagonists embarking on a dangerous mission. Rosamund Pike will also appear in one of the roles.
Many critics believe that Guy Ritchie’s recent works tend to feel somewhat similar to each other. However, that hasn’t stopped the director from maintaining his status, the love of his fans, and occasionally achieving strong box office success. The film is set to be released on May 15.
