In 2022, streaming platforms like Apple TV+, Netflix and Max were just beginning to expand, coming up with original ideas for series and films.
One of Max’s projects was Tokyo Vice based on 2009 book by Jake Adelstein, which tells the story of a young American journalist who arrives in Tokyo and tries to find work at the newspaper Meicho. In the 1990s, Japan was experiencing gang conflicts, which serve as the gripping backdrop for the show’s plot.

The leading roles are played by stars Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe, and the setting of a beautiful, mysterious, and of course dangerous Tokyo adds an incredible atmosphere to the series, making it easy and thrilling to binge episode after episode.

What’s your opinion? And remember — no matter how lonely you may feel, there is always a chance, always a move to make, and always an opportunity to prove to the world that you are right and that you are strong. Enjoy watching!
