In the age of booming technology and the internet, when it seems that human potential has become almost limitless, Hollywood studios, as always, strive to create films that “reflect” our reality and follow the latest trends.
In 2011, Limitless hit the screens — a film based on Alan Glynn’s 2001 novel “The Dark Fields”.

It tells the story of an unsuccessful writer who decides to try a pill given to him by an old friend — a pill that increases brain power fivefold.

Enjoying the incredible effect, he decides to continue taking it. But soon, his new life becomes entangled with crime, business conspiracies, and, of course, the woman he has loved for years.

With a budget of $27 million, the film grossed an impressive $161.8 million, becoming a huge box office success. Alongside a young Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro also appeared in a supporting role.

Fourteen years later, Neil Burger’s film still feels fresh and vibrant rather than outdated — a testament to the exceptional work of the production team and editors.
Watch Limitless, and remember: all boundaries exist only in your mind.
