The legendary Englishman has been known worldwide for over 30 years thanks to his songs. Some of which bring tears, some joy and laughter and some that make you want to dance and reminisce about moments that never even happened to you.
A few years ago, Sting had already performed in Cardiff, Wales in the UK, and now he decided to return again, possibly in honor of the various festivals currently taking place near Cardiff Castle.
Before Sting took the stage, wonderful artists performed — young and stunning Sophie Gray, who radiated the aura of a true star despite her not yet widespread popularity. After her, the rock musicians The Lilacs came on, winning over everyone to such an extent that by the final song, the whole crowd was clapping and singing along in unison, even though most hadn’t heard of the band before.
Sting appeared shortly after the other artists left the stage, together with his band, and the entire audience seemed to come alive again. During Fields of Gold and Englishman in New York, the fans were already in a semi-trance, and when Shape of My Heart began, everyone forgot where they were for a moment, completely immersed in the beautiful sound. The applause was so overwhelming that Sting returned to perform a couple more songs before finally leaving the stage.
In any case, it was an unforgettable event that left a mark not only in our minds but also in our hearts whose shape perhaps grew just a little bit bigger than it was before the concert.
