Some directors truly have the power to turn the destiny of cinema 180 degrees. It’s hard to imagine what our world would be like if Christopher Nolan had never appeared in it.

After Following, Memento, and Insomnia, he had already made a name for himself in the studios as a talented young director. But after the release of Batman Begins — which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year — everything changed once and for all.

Odyssey, his new film, is based on the Greek myth of the same name about the hero who took part in the Trojan War and defeated the monster Cyclops. The leading roles are played by Tom Holland and Matt Damon, but of course, these aren’t the only stars. We should also expect to see Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Elliot Page, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie and others.

Recently, the official poster and the full cast of the film were published, and it’s possible that the first official teaser will be released soon — some footage has already leaked online.

Adaptations of Greek myths are not the most common thing in Hollywood, but as always, we believe that Nolan will stop time, change its flow, and return us to worlds that never existed — although, of course, nothing is certain.
