Vasya was sitting at home by the open window, breathing quickly and praying for at least a small breeze to come through. It was very hot outside, the peak of summer, and so Vasya thought it would have been better if he had stayed in Winter or Spring — at least he wouldn’t be dying from the heat and sweating so much.
Suddenly, Summer itself came into the room. It looked at Vasya with a smile, holding back a little laugh, and then walked toward him, slowly but confidently.
“Who are you?!” — Vasya asked in fear.
“Don’t be afraid, boy. I am Summer. It’s been a long time since we last saw each other!”
“Why are you so hot this year? I can’t even go outside, and even sitting at home feels unbearable. I don’t know which is worse!”
“Haha, dear Vasya, how can you not love Summer? The time when you can walk at night, swim in the water, eat ice cream, sunbathe, rest from school, and, in the end, just enjoy the sun while listening to music and sipping a cocktail. Don’t you like that?”

“But I’m so hot!”
“I understand, but everything has its pros and cons. When you eat a burger at McDonald’s, do you think about how unhealthy it is, and regret not buying a salad instead? No—you enjoy every bite of it. It’s the same with me. I give people warmth that no other season has, and people themselves decide whether to appreciate it, to be happy and use the good weather, or just sit at home”.

“I see. So, I can’t make the weather colder or warmer, which means it’s better to just accept things as they are and enjoy the moment. Thank you, Summer, I won’t forget you”.
