“We do not just live in a world made of matter. We live in a world that is a reflection of our beliefs and feelings” (Gregg Braden)
We are accustomed to thinking that our feelings are nothing more than a play of hormones and neurons, and that the world around us is a static, separate reality. But what if that is not the case? What if our inner world — our emotions and thoughts — holds the power to change matter at the most fundamental level?
So, prepare for a journey where magic is cloaked in scientific justification to prove that our emotions and thoughts can create miracles.
An experiment that changed the perspective on reality
In 1992, a group of scientists conducted a study that literally shook the foundations of classical physics. They took a glass container and evacuated all the air from it, creating nearly perfect vacuum. According to traditional beliefs, there should have been nothing left inside but emptiness. However, the researchers knew that even in a vacuum, there exist tiny particles of light — photons. These particles are the basic building blocks from which all matter in the universe is made, including us.

First, the scientists measured how these photons were distributed within the vessel. As expected, they were arranged completely chaotically, without any order. And then the most interesting part begins.
The researchers decided to place human DNA into this vessel. Think about it for a moment: photons are the foundation of the matter in the world, while DNA is the foundation of ourselves. Can these two fundamental forces interact? At first glance, this seems like pure science fiction, but it was a real, documented experiment.
And what was the result? The photons, which had previously been scattered chaotically, began to organize themselves according to the geometry of the DNA placed in the vessel!
This means that
OUR DNA HAS THE ABILITY TO LITERALLY ORGANIZE THE MATTER FROM WHICH THE WORLD IS MADE
New Physics and Ancient Wisdom
The researchers were compelled to propose the existence of a new energetic field activated by our DNA. They believe that this field has always existed, but only now is science beginning to recognize it.
This experiment confirms what ancient spiritual traditions have spoken about for thousands of years: our inner state, our thoughts, and emotions are intrinsically linked to the world around us. Our DNA is not just a genetic code; it acts like a kind of antenna that not only transmits information to our cells but also actively interacts with the surrounding matter, creating our reality.
Heart and DNA: The Second Experiment
If the first experiment demonstrated that our DNA can influence matter, the second one, which I will discuss now, answers an even deeper question: can our emotions affect our own DNA?
“Science and spirituality are united in one. Our heart is not just a pump; it is the most powerful electromagnetic system in our body that creates our reality” (Gregg Braden)
In 1994, a remarkable experiment was published in a scientific research journal. This time, scientists worked with “virgin” DNA taken from the umbilical cords of newborns. This DNA had not yet been “tainted” by the stresses and experiences of adult life, making it an ideal subject for pure research.
The DNA was isolated in a special container to rule out any external physical influences. This container was then placed in the electromagnetic field of the human heart. The fact is, our heart generates a powerful electromagnetic field that can be measured, extending up to two meters away from the body. The scientists wondered: can emotions affect the DNA in our bodies? They discovered that our DNA in cells is coiled in a specific shape, and this shape is highly sensitive to our emotional state.

When we experience so-called “negative” emotions — anger, hatred, jealousy, or irritation — DNA literally tightens into a knot. It coils so tightly that it cannot function properly. Think about it: negative feelings do not just ruin our mood; they physically “strangle” our genetic information. In this compressed state, DNA cannot perform its full range of tasks, whether it’s the immune response or the production of hormones that slow down aging.
Positive Emotions as the Key to Healing
What about positive emotions? Scientists proposed that they should have the opposite effect. And they were correct. When a person experiences gratitude, compassion, or love, DNA begins to relax and unwind. It’s as if it is “straightening its shoulders,” preparing to work at full capacity.
But the most astonishing discovery was made when the isolated DNA was placed in the emotional field of another person. Under the influence of feelings of gratitude, love, and appreciation, the DNA began to relax so much that its spiral unwound as if it were preparing for replication, meaning the creation of new, viable DNA.
This was a genuine scientific breakthrough: it was proven in laboratory conditions that our positive emotions trigger the processes of self-healing and renewal at the genetic level. This discovery directly confirms ancient teachings about the power of love and gratitude.
Thus, the experiments showed that human emotions and feelings can consciously influence the shape of DNA not only within one’s body but also on the DNA that is outside of it. Now we have scientific proof that people who have learned to consciously maintain a state of deep appreciation and love can intentionally alter their DNA and even affect the DNA of others.
“When we change our feelings, we are not just changing how we think. We are changing the reality around us” (Gregg Braden)
Emotions, DNA, and Reality
Combining the results of these two revolutionary experiments, we obtain a truly captivating picture. The first experiment demonstrated that our DNA is capable of organizing randomly arranged photons—the tiny particles that make up all matter. This proves that DNA is not simply a “blueprint” for our body, but a powerful tool that actively interacts with the physical world.
The second experiment supplemented this picture by demonstrating that our emotions directly influence the shape of DNA. Negative feelings, such as anger or fear, “compress” and “strangle” it, hindering its ability to function. On the other hand, positive emotions — love, gratitude, compassion — relax DNA, allowing it to fully unlock its potential and even initiate self-healing processes.
Thus, we observe a chain: emotions → DNA → matter. This means that our feelings are not just abstract experiences but powerful forces that change our DNA, which in turn alters the physical world around us.
This discovery is a true breakthrough. It provides us with scientific validation of what sages through the ages have taught us:
We Are Not Passive Observers, but Active Creators of Our Reality
When we learn to consciously manage our emotions, we not only heal our bodies but also literally influence the very structure of the world. Our feelings are the key to our health and well-being, as well as a powerful tool for creating a better future.
Emotional Hygiene
Now that we know our emotions literally change matter, let’s reflect on our daily lives. If you notice that your emotional states are often colored by negativity — anger, irritation, resentment — it’s worth stopping to ask yourself: “What am I creating right now?” Your feelings are not just fleeting reactions; they are the building material for your reality.
Often, negative reactions become bad habits, automatic responses. We may not even realize how these habits create what we actually don’t want, day after day. But by recognizing this, we gain power. Understanding that you can consciously shift into a state of gratitude, love, and appreciation is the key to managing your life.
This skill, like any other, requires practice. Start small: each day, find a reason to feel gratitude — gratitude that you truly feel in every cell, rather than just automatically listing pleasant occurrences from your day. Over time, this will become a new habit that aligns your reality with your emotional state. You will see how, by managing your emotions, you not only heal your body and mind but also positively influence those around you, literally changing the world.
In summary: The discoveries discussed show that we need to treat our emotions and feelings with full responsibility, as they are the literal building material of our reality.
“Emotions are the language we use to communicate with the Universe. What we feel comes back to us as experience” (Gregg Braden)
