After the massive success of Toy Story 4 in 2019, which won an Oscar after beating Netflix’s Klaus, Disney and Pixar began production on a new, fifth installment — despite the fact that the story had seemingly reached its conclusion on screen.
A teaser trailer for the film was recently released, featuring, as always, Pixar’s stunning computer animation, the beloved voices of our favorite characters, and… a brand-new antagonist!
It turns out that in this story, the younger sister of the toys’ former owner decides to get a tablet — one that becomes a kind of “technological threat” and a replacement for the toys we all love.
Toy Story 5 hits theaters on June 19, so in the meantime, it might be the perfect moment to rewatch the previous chapters!
