Very recently, on the night of January 11–12, the 81st Golden Globe Awards took place — an annual ceremony that brings together the biggest and most high-profile Hollywood celebrities to honor outstanding achievements in film, from directors to actors and editors of some of the most well-known movies.

The competition for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical was particularly strong, with major contenders ranging from George Clooney for Jay Kelly to Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another.

Chalamet won the category and delivered a very touching acceptance speech, in which he thanked his colleagues and the Academy, after which the audience erupted into loud applause.

For many viewers watching the ceremony, the actor’s victory was a great joy, while for others it came as a huge shock — especially for those who expected Leonardo DiCaprio to take home the award.

“Marty the Magnificent” has been receiving rave reviews from both critics and audiences, so perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to see this incredible film in cinemas and, in doing so, congratulate the actor on his “supreme” win.
