The 98th Academy Awards ceremony took place in Los Angeles on the night of March 15–16. Countless people — from critics to fans and even Hollywood skeptics — gathered around their screens to watch the broadcast and find out who would take home the night’s biggest awards.
One of the most widely discussed questions surrounding the ceremony was the Best Actor category — more specifically, who would win: Michael B. Jordan, Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, or Wagner Moura. Opinions were divided, though many believed the winner would likely come from the first three nominees.

In the end, the long-awaited winner was Michael B. Jordan, who received the award for Sinners. Taking the stage, the actor delivered a touching speech, saying: “God is good,” and thanking his mother. With this victory, Jordan also became the sixth Black actor to win the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Now the Academy’s list of winners has officially grown by one more name. We wish the actor continued success in his career and hope he keeps delighting audiences with many more cinematic hits.
