Some things remain just as enjoyable as they’ve always been. They may seem simple — like a cup of coffee in the morning, the sun breaking through the clouds… or a good film to watch in the evening that, in reality, stays with you for much longer than just one night.
Crime 101 is a perfect example of this, especially at a time when genres are being reshaped, ideas are being rethought, and action-driven crime dramas are not as common as they once were.

The story follows a middle-aged man who robs the wealthy to make a living. Yes, it’s crime — but the protagonist spent his entire childhood in poverty, and for him, this life is a hundred times better than being homeless on the harsh streets of Los Angeles.

Detectives begin to suspect that a single individual is behind most of the crimes, as they all take place near Highway 101. However, things are not so simple — our protagonist is a true professional, guided by a personal code of honor, and has never once fired a gun at anyone.

The film explores important themes such as poverty, justice, morality, and genuine love. In the adult world, it often feels like something must always be sacrificed, and at some point, a person is faced with a choice between what is “good” and what is “right”.

Watch the film yourself, reflect on it, and draw your own conclusions about this compelling Hollywood story.
