One of the most beloved trilogies not only of the 21st century, but also of all cinematic history. Adventure films are one of the most difficult genres to create, as studios alternate between enormous, incredible successes and catastrophic failures, the problem with which isn’t always a matter of quality.
Indiana Jones was a hit, but «Master and Commander” wasn’t, Star Wars bombed at the box office, while «The Mummy” failed . The first Pirates film was released in 2003, grossing over $650 million and even receiving several Oscar nominations, including one for Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.

The second and third installments were simply cosmic in scale, both in terms of production and success, and, incidentally, were filmed almost simultaneously. Elizabeth Swann, played by Keira Knightley, and Will Turner, played by Orlando Bloom, became favorites of young audiences, while the other characters presented a storm of other emotions, be it admiration, horror, love or even physical revulsion.

Each actor in the films had a clear place in the plot, which, like a vast mechanism, worked smoothly and confidently to advance the story told in the films.

Gripping battles, real-life scenes mixed with CGI, and the team’s courage ensured the films a success that may never be replicated. Perhaps success comes to the boldest and most daring dreamers?
