Stephen King has been one of America’s foremost authors for several decades, while seemingly everyone has adapted his stories and novels for the screen. From The Shining in 1982 to The Dark Tower, It, and the new film The Life of Chuck.
Based on King’s short story about a boy who grew up in a haunted house, the novel was picked up for adaptation by Intrepid Pictures in 2024.

Tom Hiddleston was cast in the lead role, with Mark Hamill and Karen Gillan also starring in the film.

At the Toronto Film Festival last year, the picture received every possible award and standing ovations from audiences, while the film itself is set to premiere this August.

The story of a boy growing up in a haunted house has moved many viewers, and director Mike Flanagan has once again proven his talent and brilliance.
