Back in 2019, Jon Favreau gave the Star Wars universe a second life when the first season of The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+. The series followed a mysterious space bounty hunter as he found himself caught in thrilling adventures across the galaxy.
Pedro Pascal under the helmet, groundbreaking production technology using massive digital screens instead of traditional green-screen sets, and unforgettable new characters like Grogu—better known to many fans as “Baby Yoda” — made the first season feel fresh and original, paving the way for the second and third installments.

Following the success of the series, The Walt Disney Company developed a full-length feature film, which arrived in cinemas just days ago.

Overall, audiences have reacted positively, while critics have been less enthusiastic, with some arguing that the movie feels more like “just another episode of the series” than a major cinematic event.

With a budget of $165 million, the film has already earned around $165 million at the box office, giving it a solid chance of eventually turning a profit.
