Action movies are often seen as a light and not very intelligent genre made for teenagers to have some summer fun. However, not every film in this category fits that stereotype.
Michael Mann’s Heat (1995) amazed both critics and audiences, becoming a cult classic over time and even inspiring many other filmmakers (for example, Christopher Nolan with The Dark Knight).

Rumors about Heat 2 have been circulating for years, and it’s now official — Mann is returning as both director and screenwriter. The script will be based on his own novel, and the film will star not one but four Hollywood heavyweights: Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, Adam Driver, and Austin Butler — though it’s still unclear who will play which role.

The movie will likely be released no earlier than 2027, but production has already begun. And remember what De Niro’s character once said: “When the heat’s around the corner, you’ve got 10 seconds to get out”.
