The DC Universe continues to expand — James Gunn is writing new projects, and the second season of Peacemaker has just wrapped up. Next year, DC fans can look forward to Green Lanterns, as well as Batman: The Brave and the Bold, a film that has been in development for quite some time. It’s set to reboot the Batman franchise within the new DC cinematic universe and will most likely have no connection to Matt Reeves’ films.

An actor for the main role has not yet been confirmed, but Andy Muschietti, who directed The Flash, recently posted about Batman on his social media — possibly hinting at his involvement in the project as director. However, there has been no official confirmation from the studio, and after the failure of The Flash, many fans were not thrilled about the idea of Muschietti returning to direct another DC film.

According to rumors, the main villains may be Mr. Freeze and Deathstroke — a surprising choice for the big screen. While both characters had a major impact in the Arkham video game series, in cinema Mr. Freeze has appeared only once, and Deathstroke only briefly as a cameo in Justice League (2017).

What do you think — who could be a great fit to play the Caped Crusader, and how do you feel about the potential director of the upcoming film?
