For over a year now, the world has known that Alejandro González Iñárritu has been developing a film starring Tom Cruise in the lead role, with the project originally expected to be released in 2026.
Recently, the first teaser trailer was released quite unexpectedly. The footage shows the silhouette of Tom Cruise’s character and features him dancing, performing unusual and expressive body movements.
The actor has previously said that he decided to step away from action films and blockbusters, a genre he has largely dominated over the past 10–15 years. Cruise is widely known in Hollywood as a versatile performer, while director Iñárritu is adored by both critics and audiences alike.
Digger is set to be released on October 1 and will tell the story of a wealthy man who chooses to embark on an extremely dangerous mission in order to save humanity from the consequences of his own actions. At the very least, it sounds intriguing!
