The world is constantly debating which trilogies were the worst — and, of course, the very best — in the history of Hollywood. Some recall The Lord of the Rings, others The Godfather, but today we’re revisiting Ocean’s Eleven.
Ocean’s Eleven (2001) became an incredible and somewhat unexpected box office hit, fully restoring George Clooney’s status as a movie star after the failure of Batman & Robin. It also brought together an ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Casey Affleck, Don Cheadle, and many others.

The remake of the 1960 film starring Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin exploded at the box office, earning over $400 million worldwide against a $85 million budget, turning films about charming con artists into one of the most desirable genres in cinema.

The second installment was not received as warmly, though it still performed solidly and focused more on Rusty’s (Brad Pitt) personal life, while also delivering the amusing storyline involving Julia Roberts.

The third film feels more like a stylish epilogue, where the characters are a little older, wiser, and calmer. Al Pacino, as the antagonist — somewhat caricatured but still entertaining — adds extra flair to the story. Twenty years later, fans are still waiting for news about a fourth installment, and we recommend revisiting the original, dynamic trilogy about criminals with wonderful moral principles.

See you when we see you!
