After a trilogy that has already become something of a cult classic — and, notably, helped bring fame to Ben Stiller while giving a new comedic edge to Robert De Niro’s career — the creators have finally decided to return with a new installment in the Meet the Fockers series.
This time, the story focuses on the new girlfriend of Greg’s son (Stiller), played by none other than Ariana Grande. Both the father and grandfather are highly suspicious of this potential new member of the family, while the young woman repeatedly proves her confidence, resilience, and strength in the face of their distrust.
The trailer feels energetic, fresh, and genuinely funny—despite the fact that the original cast is no longer very young, and the previous installment of the franchise received mixed reactions from audiences.
